Hazem is one of the founders of Hemavi, an algorithm-based matchmaking platform for roommates. Having started Hemavi with Co-Founder Pascal Dettwiler, these two had a vision of making co-living a safer, and a better experience, focusing on the compatibility between roommates and making the whole moving experience a more enjoyable one.
In 2021 and just a few months after launching Hemavi, Hazem won H.M. Kung Carl XVI Gustafs pris Årets Nybyggare as one of the best foreign entrepreneurs in south of Sweden. He comes from a corporate finance and financial restructuring background in the real estate sector securing syndications of more than USD 50 Million and managing a loan portfolio of USD 125 Million.
Hazem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the American University in Cairo and a Master of Finance from Lund University.
Hazem’s biceps are a huge part of his personality and unfortunately, he posts gym selfies sometimes. He’s also a huge F1 fan and won’t shut up about the 2021 final grand prix in Abu Dhabi.
Pascal Dettwiler is one of the Founders of Hemavi. He has proven skills in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Fundraising & Investments, Sales & Business Development. Previous to founding Hemavi, he has been working in both corporate finance and within the banking sector. He then went on to start Techquity in 2020. Techquity is a legal technology platform which represents a completely new way of raising private equity and venture capital funds.

Matt joined the Hemavi team as Product Manager pre-MVP in April 2021. He has a bachelor of laws (LLB) from the University of Nottingham, UK, and has been leading software development teams for the past 3 years - building & managing mobile/web apps in various fields such as finance, education, logistics, e-commerce, and advertising.
When it comes to what Matt actually does at Hemavi – nobody really knows, and we’re all just a bit scared to ask at this point. What we do know though, is that he’s your go-to guy when you’ve got problems, big ideas or…problems, mostly – very much like a therapist? But one who doesn’t tell you to fix things yourself, but rather conveniently fixes things for you.
When he’s not re-organizing the team’s priorities in an *cough* agile way, drafting mind-boggling whimsical flows, juggling between dozens of tasks that should’ve been done yesterday, or battling impostor syndrome every other week, Matt has a life - one he quite enjoys actually… when he’s got the time, that is.

I'm a versatile and curious individual who is always up for a challenge and trying new things. I possess a unique skill set, ranging from technical proficiency in front-end and back-end development to a creative eye for design.
But I'm not just all work and no play, I'm also a video game enthusiast who loves to unwind with a good game after a long day. When I'm not gaming, I enjoy staying active and healthy through workouts, trying new recipes, and just simply taking time to chill and recharge.
With a passion for growth and a drive to always learn and improve, I'm constantly seeking new opportunities to expand my horizons and make an impact.

Habeeba is a digital nomad living in a tiny beach-town while wearing many hats: content writer, project coordinator, marketer, yoga instructor and masseuse. When she’s not jotting down content, filling out excel sheets or perfecting her asanas, Habeeba likes to unwind by the beach, dive into a good book, play her ukulele, or paint. She’s also on a never-ending hunt for the world's best gelato - a title currently held by a little boutique-style shop close to Fontana Di Trevi in Rome, Italy.
